In Europe, we are all about canister vacuum and That was I was looking for here. After having a great vacuum for a while, it was time to change it and since the one we had got discontinued (too bad!), I started shopping for a powerful, easy to handle vacuum canister. I saw good reviews for this one, so we gave it a try. Given the proce of those babies, you don’t want to change them every year! It has been almost 2 years now that we bought the kenmore and it lost power. The handle turned out to be heavy and hard to manoeuver over time.
My piece of advise, save your money!

This vac is powerful (12 amps)! I love that you can turn off the beater motor with the flip of a switch when you land on hard surfaces, such as lino or wood. It also has attachments stored right in the body of the vac (cover flips up like the trunk of your car to reveal them). Its cord is super long which means I can vacuum my whole upper level from just one plug. It’s also much easier to vacuum under beds and chairs and tables with this vacuum than my Kirby upright.
My carpet looked good for days after I vacuumed. My stairs even seemed “fluffier”! It was so much easier to carry this vac up the stairs as I vacuumed than the heavy Kirby. BTW, the wand & beater stand up on their own when you need to leave the vacuum for a moment to move something, which is handy.
There is a little hook on the back by the cord to make sure the cord doesn’t retract while you’re using it.
I was very lucky and found this vacuum on Craigslist for $85 new-in-the-box! However, it’s also worth the $200+ price tab for ease-of-use and effectiveness.
